I will pour out my spirit

Is time for book review again..
This book was written by R.E Davies.. hmmm.. It took me almost 4 months to finish reading this book.. so 'chim' ar.. know what? everytime i started reading it.. my eyes wil automatically close.. for those people who suffered imsonia.. let me introduce this wonderful book to you... hee..
k la.. not as bad as that..
eventhough this book is kinda ' boring' but it does speaks to me.. hee.. i shall not complain then.. hee.. this book actually talks about the history of revival..and awakening..

what is revival??

Revival brings back spiritual consciousness, life, and vigorous health--to flourish again after decline. Revival recovers the biblical standard of truth, doctrine, and lifestyle. It is a fresh awareness of the presence of God, a confession of sin leading to a restoration of holy living, a new initiative in fulfilling the Great Commission, a new hunger for the Word of God, and a new faith for the supernatural.

Real revival comes only from God. He alone is the fountainhead. A spiritual awakening cannot be scheduled, worked up or humanly engineered. If we are to experience a "refreshing time from the Lord," it will be because God's sovereign hour has arrived. God grants revival blessings when and where he pleases.

From the surveys that was done by the authors which revival and awakenings happened mainly cause by :
-persistent prayer
-powerful preaching and testimony
-a deep awarenes of the pesence and Holiness of God leading to a strong sense of conviction of sin and repentance
-physical manifestation of conviction of sin
-miracles of healing and the excercise of spiritual gifts such as supernatural knowledge, prohecy and speaking in tongues.

something i learned from this book was how the non believer view revival, they will often focus on the outward and unusual phenomena, rather than concentrating on the inward experirence which causing the external and exceptional..

Something that really spokes to me thru this book was God can use just anyone to do His work..
As we prepare our life for revival, focus o God and divine possibilities.. Faith comes by the word of God .. As He is the source of revival..

The spirit control woman

Read this book by Beverly LaHaye..
is mainly about what is temperament? and their strengths and weaknesses.. Our strength do not cause us much trouble in life, since they usually provide our unique set of talents.. This book studied more on to the weaknesses that causes us most problems.. And to learn to rely on the ministry of the Holy Spirit who is in us after we receive Christ as our personal Savior and Lord, then we can go on to become the kinds of people God originally intended us to be..

in this book.. it really describe the 4 temperaments .. hee.. i am an extrovert.. i believed most of you will agree.. hee.. after further analysis.. i am a sanphelg.. it was writen there as well.. 'knowing your primary temperament and secondary is helpful, but only if you go to the Holy spirit to help you confront your weaknesses' from this book i learned that I have to depend on the word of God and the filling of the Holy Spirit, to acomplish all that God has for me..

Besides that, it also mention that singleness is not a curse.. The Holy Spirit does not select only mature christians to fulfill the promises of God. God promises are available to anyone who is willing to completely yield her life to the Lord.'You are not the owner of your own body. if you are a Christian, you have been bought with a price; therefore , you should glorify God with your body.' Singlehood at any age is what ou make it to be. It can be a full, rich, and rewarding life.. ( Phi 4:11) -'For I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content'

That's all for today ya.. hee..

THREE STEP FORWARD TWO STEPS BACK

Few months back went i was reading on this book by Charles R Swindoll which recommended by my spiritual mentor when I am facing bad times and feel like giving up hope in God recently… But one thing which has reminded me when I was reading this book was that ‘life is a task. A tough one. Sometimes absolutely unbearable.’ and the truth is that there are no easy, 1-2-3- solutions.. Trouble don’t disappear because we just ignore them. I would like to share to you guys regarding how it inspired me..
It really took me sometimes to wanting to act on it.. I knew all this before I read the book. But somehow, knowing it does not mean doing it and understand it…I believed that you will agree with it too.. And after reading it I felt more secure cause I know that God is with me .. As what have written in the book of
Isaiah 41:10( Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.)
Psalm 27:1 ( The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?
I was also reminded bout God’s great goal for us is not that we be comfortable or satisfied, nor that we live out a ‘wonderful plan’ of constant smiling, being happy, facing no calamity, no evil and no difficulty. But by believing In Jesus Christ, we might step into a world of testing that we never knew before, because we will have become the object of Jesus Himself, and His character traits are to be formed in our life. And frankly we can’t have them formed without the fire and loss.. The path of obedience is often marked by times of suffering and loss
In Job23:1-14 says that
But He know the way I take;
When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold
My foot has held fast to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside.
I have not departed from the command of His lips;
I have treasured the word of His mouth more than my necessary food.
But he is unique and who can turn Him?
And what His soul desires, that he does.
For He performs what is appointed for me,
And many such decrees are with Him
God uses an infinite number of vehicles in the process of helping us grow.. I’ve never met anyone who become instantly mature. It’s a painstaking process that God takes us through, and it includes such thing as waiting, failing, losing, and being misunderstood.. Each one calling for extra doses of perseverance… God provides things money cannot touch.. Security replaces insecurity.. We receive purpose and renewed direction we gain an understanding, compassionate heart- along with wisdom we never had before.
